Default Have Pacesetters actually gotten better?

I had a pair on my old car before it got hit and they fit really crappy. I had to grind my k-member because it was vibrating my whole car on turning and they hung kind of low.

Recently I helped install a pair on my friend's car and they fit like a dream. No grinding besides the nubs on the block and definitely cleared the k-member.

What's the deal?

Yes they changed them for the better a couple months ago. I just put mine on last week and didn't have to grind anything.

Buy Kooks and quit worryin I didn't have to do anything but unbolt my stock POS exhaust.

But yes, their design WAS improved. Much better fitment/clearance all around.

Mine fit perfectly as well. No grinding or cutting at all. They fit so well that they wanted to completely fall out when trying to bolt them to the block. From the pics of the first Pacesetters that were out, I'd say that they made quite an improvement.

I got a set this summer and I didn't even have to grind the casting flash from the block The coating still looks really good. I've polished off some of the surface rust a few times from the collectors.
