Default Those with a Whisper Lid...

I installed a Whipser Lid on my car. The only thing is one of the clamps wont close. One will but the other one will either not close at all, or close but once I got WOT it will unpop. Anyone know what could be causing this?

You got to keep trying moving around i had the same problem and just moved it around till it sat tight. Make sure you get the 2 rear tabs in.

Make sure the back tabs are pushed in. I never had problems with mine.

I have one, it fits real tight, but it still fits. the clamps have always been REAL hard to shut, but when they are shut, they STAY shut. you shouldnt have any problems. I reiterate to get the back tabs in.

Shove that whole assembly (lid/maf/bellows) back towards the TB. If you have a hard smooth bellows, you may have to trim it a bit.

Folks.. if the lid clips are popping off. That is a classic sign that you do not have the lid on right.

You need to make sure that the front lip of the lid (between the clips) is down inside the groove in the lower airbox. Not in front of it.

Exactly, sort of like an underbite versus an overbite type scenario.
I've had my Whisper with K&N for over 4 years now and it's been fine.

Perfect description.

And yes, if it's not clamping in place it's just not in right somewhere. I've had two Whisper lids on three different LS1 cars over the last 5 years, they've always fit perfect once seated properly. The new ones with that rubber MAF seal really fit nice.
