Hookers, got to love 'em!
A few questions that weren't covered in my searches of the site or in the stickies. If I purchase Hooker LTs, Hooker Y-pipe, and a Hooker Aerochamber exhaust, will it all tie in together without any major modifications? Such as having to weld in reducers, or cut the Y-pipe (staying ORY). Cutting the pipe to the muffler isn't a big deal, I just want to make sure there isn't a bunch of other crap I need to get before I purchase this stuff, such as reducers. Also the ceramic coating, I noticed on one of the stickies a picture of some Mac headers that were extremely discolored, looked like they were shot with primer. Will my headers do this over time if I get the ceramic coating? Or is it because the Macs weren't coated. Is there a way to prevent this, it looked like the were oxidizing. Any help is always appreciated.

Wow that was pretty quick on the replys guys. I'll have to look into those Jet-Hots. Does anyone know wether the coating on Hookers is any good? I've heard it is gone in 8 months, yada, yada. Yeah I'm in Baghdad right now, R&R in @ days and I get to drive my Trans Am. I'm actually here with KBR, * days a week % hours a day. I can't wait to come home and get a 9 to 5 job. This place will drive you nuts, I know, I thought I was nuts when I got here, man was I wrong.

The Hooker LT's I had lasted 20 months (busted weld) and the coating lasted even less. I ditched them and bought the QTP Stainless Steel Headers. If you are in the market for a mild steel header, get the Pacesetter's. Otherwise, save up for the QTP's and never revisit the headers again.

Hey dog,
Remember, OPSEC. Don't be making your location and travel plans known. Everyone here is great, but you are posting information like that on the net...that's not smart.

I've have the entire hooker exhaust, Headers, Y-Pipe, Catback for over two years now. I have not had a single problem with them. The coating is perfect, it fits fine and sounds great. I've made over 416RWHP through the entire exhaust I'm a happy customer.
Cheers.

Yeah. As far as the OPSEC goes, It's cool to say where you are located (not too Specific), But don't give the travel times or locations, and methods. Just be happy when You get home. That plane ride is a mother, and if you stop in Ireland they don't allow smoking or dipping in all Puplic places. (3000 euro fine!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

I too have the suppermaxx setup. I love them!
with just the suppermaxx, lid, and corsa catback i put down 338 rwhp and 353 rwtq. (no tune)
the only bad thing is that my corsa muffler poped a weld, and it sounds like crap now. but im replacing that this weekend with a hooker catback. should sound much better.
I have a vid on ls1sounds .com. check it out. ****link*****
I will have a vid with the hooker setup very soon.

We all need to talk about these misleading titles about Hookers.
My Hookers are already rusting. It kind of pisses me off. They are rusting right through the coating. I have never seen anything like that before...sucks.

Well the Supermaxx was also on my prospect list, so thanks for the info guys. On a side note, has anyone tried the stainless steel Hooker headers? Not that I'm stuck on Hooker, well I kind of am. The sound of a full Hooker exhaust is just melodious to me. But I will not turn a blind eye to construction defects simply because i think is sounds bad to the bone. Thanks for all the help, I don't think I've gotten this many replies before. Maybe it's because you were all a bit miguided by the Title of the thread. That's funny and I'm hungry so I'm heading to breakfast. I hope they have blueberry pancakes today, the plain get stiff and chewy and don't taste as good.
