Need Answer Quick! Clearance Question.
I hate to keep bothering you guys with my stupid questions, but my car was damaged two weeks ago, and I'm trying to get it ready for headers tomorrow.
I went out there tonight to get her ready to go to the shop, and I couldn't bend the cat back into it's normal position. I tried a pry bar, 4lb sledge, and a floor jack to get it back right. The problem is that it's cocked at a 30* angle and pushed a few inches down and forward from how it normally goes. It WON'T budge! I have like, a quarter inch or so clearance between the filter and the cat.
How much clearance exactly is needed between the two? I want to be able to drive it to my shop, considering that I have no money to hire a wrecker, and it's gonna be like 30* on Sunday, which is the only day I can do the headers, and I don't want to freeze my *** off. Can I drive it, or should I just wait another week to get my car back running?
