TSP True Duals on California Streets...
Hey folks, I have a 99 Z28 with a basic stock setup as far as engine. Currently I have an 80 series Flowmaster exhaust however I am in the process of re-doing my whole exhaust from the headers down.
I was thinking about TSP True Duals with Pacesetter LT's. My question which is directed mainly toward California drivers is, will the TSP set up be so loud that I get pulled over alot or will I be able to drive by police without feeling nervous. I understand that my flowmasters may be regarded as loud enough but I want louder and faster.....all without being pulled over all the time. There are quite a few import automobiles where I live. More them than American muscle. I just want feedback from people who have been in my situation.
Yet another question, is it possible to make the application 100% street legal?
Thanks

No it wont be street legal ever. Its all luck as to you getting pulled over w/ your intended setup. I run around w/ an open cutout and havent had any problems yet, the only thing I can forsee is because the tsp true duals are dumped the fact that you dont have tail pipes might give you away. Also it is easier to heep the volume down w/ a six speed vice an auto so keep that in mind. Where in CA are you

Right on, thanks for info. Do the TSP's have a long enough neck to cut short so that you can add tailpipes? Im mean if not oh well I guess I can always just save up for two SLP loudmouths. Im located in Vallejo, CA, you?

here's a tru-dual that runs out the rear and isn't so loud as to attract unwanted attention. http://www.stealthram.com/2000pontiacformula.html then click bassani dual exhaust. you'll just need to modify the front pipes that lead into the x-pipe to fit your headers and cats.

I like the look of the Bassani. I am assuming it's not that loud. I'll have to check out their website for the prices.
