WHich mufflers on dual exhaust reduce noise the most?
Planning on putting a dual 3" x-pipe under my car, but wish to keep the volume as low as possible. I can get away with a reasonably restrictive muffler, due to the exhaust system, and still maintain my performance. WHich mufflers seem to reduce volume the most, but still flow reasonably well?

any full size muffler like the magnaflow 4x9's should be fairly tame at cruising speeds, and louder at WOT. The moroso spiral flows also are fairly quiet, they are a bullet style muffler but still have a reasonable noise volume.

do you think so? I thought borla was louder than my magnaflow? Its hard to tell though since I've only ever heard my car on the inside where it gets real buzzy. but it seems that my g/f's 25th TA (94) with borla is louder. Maybe she has the plate opened up... will have to ask.

I think they are called XR-1's. There are a few guys on this board that run them. They are much more tame under cruisins, but still sounds great. If you're running true duals, the borla muffler is gonna be your best bet. They are no way what the stock catback muffler sounds like.

I cannot smell anything minside the car. If I let it idle a while and am outside the car I can smell them. Fumes are only bad when inside the garage or if I am crouching down filling the tires at the track, then you can choke on them.
