Yeah, but why would you want to? An 02 comes with an LS6 intake.....

Besides that, it comes with a big hole in it where the EGR would mount in which you don't have an EGR on an 02'. And yeah, why would want one if it has an LS6 intake already?

Why not just take the one off your car, powdercoat it, then put it back on?

That does make quite a bit of sense...

If you can't be with out the car while you are powder coating, by all means, get like in kind replacement. LS6 > LS1!

yea all 01-02 LS1's have an LS6 intake, and PM me if you are looking to sell your non-powdercoated original LS6 intake once you get your powdercoated one back.

I don't think you can powdercoat plastic. Am I right? I thought powdercoating required baking the object in an oven.

umm, you cant powdercoat it... it cant withstand the 260-300* SURFACE temp required... ive asked someone that powdercoats alot of performance parts.. hes tried... even if you get the powder to lay down correctly (hard because its not charged well), it cant take the temps..

anyhoooooo

if you just want to get yours PAINTED and put back on afterwerd, and you want to save alot of $$$, buy a used LS1 intake. get a plug like they use for the EGR delete mod.

you can get LS1 intakes for free if you look around... i mean, the attitude in this thread says it all.

yes they bolt on just fine. it'll work great as a temp replacement.

I'll sell you my LS1 intake for $30 shipped. Put a freeze plug in it and you're golden.
