Default Question about stock Exaust manifolds...

are 01 and 02 stock manifolds the same?

and from what I read these are superior to the 00s and older correct? Almost as good as a shorty header?

Need to know kinda quick TIA

2001s and 2002s are the same. In fact, the 2000s are also the same (flow-wise) over the '01-02s. The only difference is that they have an EGR provision. This won't cost you any power though.

The power advantage of 2000-2002 manifolds over 98s and 99s is around 3-5 rwhp. Shorty headers would be about 5-8 rwhp better than the better 2000-2002 manifolds, so make them about 8-13 rwhp better than the 98-99 manifolds. Understand?

Sometimes there isn't. Some people gain next to nothing going to shorties on an otherwise stock exhaust & motor.
