Default Anybody else need longer studs on cutout?

Got the QTP electric cutout in yesterday, and was about to mount it to the Flowtech, but there is like only 1 1/2 to 2 threads at the most sticking through for the nuts to grab. Am I the only one to have this happen? I guess I could grind the welds off the bolts and put some longer ones in, but then I'd have to do it at the muffler shop b/c I don't have a way to weld the pipes back together. Any suggestions?

People have had the studs changed to longer ones. Other people just stick with the current ones and use locktite to keep them from backing out.

I guess I can change the studs in my spare cutout and mount the QTP cutout on it, then take the assy. to the muffler shop and swap it out with the one on the car.

Does QTP not have an option to cut out reliefs for the nuts?

I know McCord does, maybe you should talk to QTP and see what they'll do for you?

I had the guy at the muffler shop grind mine off and install longer bolts. He also had to weld my Flowtech cutouot since it came with about 1/4" gap in the weld, which was very hard to see. I'm sure it would have been easy to hear though. I'd recommend anyone with a Flowtech look it over REAL good before you weld it in.
