Default going to install long tubes need a bit of advice

I'm driving a 2001 ss and putting on slp long tubes cats and y pipe. I realize everyone can say good and bad things about all headers. What I'm concerned about is tuning I have the predator programmer do I require a custom tune or can someone help me out, apparently people claim you run rich when you install headers.

Any comments appreciated.

You will run richer with headers, but it's nothing that you can't deal with.
In my case, when I installed my LT's, I didn't get it tuned until about 8 months later when I did a cam and I had no problems at all.
You will get the most power out of them with a custom tune of course, but since you have the predator, just mess around with it until you get your A/F ratio right. Get a custom tune when you do something bigger like a cam swap, H/C, or FI.
