Default Mac Y-pipe Prob!!!

Hey the Mac headers are great...Noticable HP and TQ and great sound....

I do have a minor prob. As the y comes down from the collector towards the catback, the piping is within 1mm away from the under carriage (chasis) of the car. And when the car starts and every thing is movin around down there it knocks (vibrates against it) ... And it's gotten worse...Especailly on right turns

So is there any solution to this mess??? Can i put something on the Y or undercarraige so it doesnt clash 2gether.

And 1 more question... Besides the MAC Y, will any other Y or X pipe fit to those headers?? Which one???

Thanx-Matt

The Mac's have adjustable ball joints. Loosen them up and position the Y where it wont hit.

Check a search, I believe people have had good luck with some type of wrap (I can't remember exactly what it's called, sorry). Cut down on the banging greatly. Good luck.

Yup.....you can adjust the MAC y-pipe almost 2" up or down until you have it where you want it. Just loosen up the joints and wrestle it into place.

My Mac Y pipe has never done that.
I think your problem might be it touching the G-load brace and not the under body. From inside the car it would be really irritating, trust me. Like the other guys said, put your car up and check all your clearances and adjust the Y pipe to fit correctly. And pay close attention to where the Y connects with the cat back. That's where my problems started.

I payed $45 for the x pipe,$60 in manderal pipe bends,$70 for 2 bullets mufflers and $250 for the muffler shop to fit and weld everything.Granted everything before the x pipe is manderal bent and from there back was done on a pipe bender and thats under the axle with stainless tips.
