I am adding a VDO oil temp gauge to my LS1 but don't know the best way to get the oil temp signal. Where is the stock oil temp sender? Is there a good place to thread in an aftermarket unit or can I tap into the stock sender?

I am also adding VDO oil pressure and water temp if anyone cares to offer some tips
