Default Driving 3000 + miles

I am driving to Florida from Massachusetts (and then back up) in March. I intend to do a full tuneup before I head down there...

Spark plugs - NGK TR55 copper, will these be fine for such a long trip?
Fuel Filter
Oil Change

What else should I do before such a hike?

The car just hit 50k miles, 2001 M6.

Thanks,
Nate

air filter, the plugs will be fine, rotate your tires, may want to check your brake pad wear while you've got the wheels off... that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

i don't think you should be too worried about anything...basically check for leaks and wear...i would change the oil...then change it again before you leave from here...we will be waiting here in florida...haha

The car should make that trip no problem. Use a good sythetic oil like the M1 and you can do the round trip plus some, no sweat. Also make sure to check out the rest of your fluids and I always check the pinion seal before I go on a long trip too. Have fun in Florida.

Thanks guys. I just ordered my spark plugs, I have a fuel filter somewhere. I think I am going to check on the coolant as well... just to be sure.
