Default EGR VS. NO EGR...Wat are the Pros and Cons?

i just got my headers in and i see there are no EGR flanges so i'm thinking about taking it off but i don't really know wat will happen....i figured it couldn't be that since all the thing does is pump exhaust into my intake!!! lol
can someone please help me on this one....

just take it out and plug the hole in your intake manifold with a freeze plug. It won't affect anything. Its just there to reduce emissions on the 98-00 cars because they have a more aggressive camshaft than the 01-02s.

oh, you will have to get the code deleted if you can't live with the Service Engine light on.

the engine will look more cleaner without that EGR crap..its extra weight too.. i ripped all that stuff out a while ago

I dont know that there is any advantages of having EGR.......unless your trying to save the trees or some ****

you have to be careful with this Earth Unfriendly attitude. This **** is addictive; next you are going to want to ditch the catalytic converters like most of us here and toss your used engine oil in a Natural Park lake. hahaha.

i took mine out when i did the H/C and LS6......

ill just have to put it back on for somg time....

saves weight, and looks cleaner.

so us in california wont pass smog if we get it deleted??? i was thinking about an ls6 intake and wanted to delete the egr.

next you are going to want to ditch the catalytic converters like most of us here and toss your used engine oil in a Natural Park lake. hahaha.

I have heard you can run more timing without knock but who knows.

One pro would be less weight and a cleaner look

Couldnt have been stated better lol

I deleted mine and have been living with a SES light but that will soon be gone when my heads/cam go in!

DELETE IT!

i can see my headers now.

but what u guys do casue i see the bolt holes where the pump was.......

The later year F-bodies didn't come with the EGR. I know I didn't do anything to hide the holes, but some put those engine plates in there. I believe some of the sponsers ---------->
sell them.

I would only throw my oil on a baby seal after a 4 hour drive on the highway, when it is nice and hot.
