Default Paint my aluminized ORY pipe?

I have recieved my Pacesetter and TSP ORY. Should I paint the Y pipe with a good high temp paint to prolong its life or will it not help? I would be thankfull for any input! What kind of paint would you guys suggest?
Thanks in Advance!!

I painted my MAC y-pipe with Dupli-Color High Temp Ceramic paint. As long as you scuff the pipe and clean it really well, it should last a long time.

Eastwood's hi-temp exhaust coating works great. Link: http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/p...=exhaust+paint

I painted my Kooks ORY with VHT FlameProof paint in flat aluminum...we glass beaded the pipe first and sprayed it...it coated pretty well...can't give you a durability estimate, though, as I haven't fired the car yet.

I told you that it is a good idea there buddy. That is what I did with my QTP y-pipe I bought the high temp 1600 degree paint from Autozone and it looks good and will help control rust.

There is no need to paint aluminized metal. Generally it will last a long time. If you want to though, use Duplicolor 1200 degree paint, it works very well.

Paint helps keep rust away. Plus you can use the paint to touch up every now and then. I use the flat aluminum colored high-temp paint on my exhaust. It works very well.
