Default A.I.R. Delete (yes, I searched)...

I did a search, but wasn't having much luck since the A.I.R. acronym is actually a word!

Anyway, I ordered some headers today that are "race" headers, and thus don't have AIR tubes (mine's an '02, so EGR isn't an issue). I'm planning on doing a delete on the AIR pump and having the code removed via ls1edit. Here are a few questions I have for you guys, though:

1) Do all cars with cats have AIR pumps, do just some have it, is it specific to GM cars, specific to F-bodies, or what?
2) How likely am I to fail a visual inspection due to the missing AIR pump? I know it's hidden under the driver's side headlight, so the only thing I can imagine they'd notice is the missing tube, but that's not exactly conspicuous.
3) RPM said they would delete my rear O2's the AIR pump and CAGS out of my computer for $100. Is this a decent deal, or should I be hunting around for something better?
4) Does anyone have a link to an AIR delete howto?

Thanks in advance!

1) as far as i know
2) depends on the shop, the tech just has to look at the emissions/belt routing sticker to see the AIR system isnt in place
3) **** that, find someone local with HPT for an 02. hell, send me your stock .bin file and i'll do it for you for free since i've got 98 and 02 HPT.
