the harderst parts that i came across was getting the oxygen sensor out and put into the new piece, have someone with strong fingers. other than that you don't even need the directions, and shouldn't take too long. might want to use some locktight when putting in the shifter. have fun you will see a impovement right away.

Here's the part numbers in case the situation gets the better of you and you break something. Or you can be smart and leave them in the OEM lid and just get new ones for the SLP unit.

Intake Air Temp Sensor (IAT) #12160244 --sensor assembly
IAT Grommet #24504388 --grommet

When you put your slp lid on make sure the front tab is in the groove. Many people forget to check this the first time and the clips that hold the lid down will not stay fastened. Here is a pic.

You might want to get some gasket material and cut a gasket for the shifter. When I installed my Pro 5.0 in my old SS, it wanted to chatter. A homemade gasket solved it right away. Also, you might want to try the Fernco Smooth Bellows while you are working on the lid. It's a six dollar mod and it looks pretty sweet too. I'm sure there is performance gains, but nothing you'll feel. But hey, any bit helps. Just buy the 3"X3" Fernco rubber fitting at Home Depot. Look at the top of the External Engine page to the exhaust guide sticky. Read through that and find the smooth bellows area. There's great info there for how to do it. It was a bit tricky to get it all together right, but there is an awesome growling sound from the engine now at WOT. Have fun and let us know how it went.
