Default Y-pipe differences?

What is the real difference between one Y pipe and another? Other than brand name. If you take a Ypipe with no cats, made of stainless steel, 3in and what not. What's the difference? They just seem to be a Y pipe.

for the most part they are the same...it's really how they design it i guess, some create more velocity then others like the Flowmaster True Merge collector on QTP y-pipe. Some are just designed for much better air flow some are designed for some back pressure or velocity. They are oerall the same i feel however.
