i see all these people talking about air lids. that ls6 are better than ls1 lids. what about mti or slp or all the other ones. which one should i truly go with please help out am new just got a 02 collector edition trans am.will i feel the difference.

A lid is a lid. They will all net around the same power. Just go with the one that you like the best. Also I did feel a difference when I put mine on.

You may be refering to the LS1 and LS6 intake mani's. The LS6 IM's are much more free flowing compared to the LS1 IM's.

yea, just like everybody else said. all lids are pretty much the same and the LS6 intake is better than the ls1. you have an '02 so you have the LS6 intake.

Yeah, there is no LS6 lid because the LS6 was never in a regular production F-body. I think you're mixing up a lid with an intake manifold. Since your car is an '02 it came with an LS6 intake manifold...all of the '01 and '02's did. You can still benefit from a lid as it's a different part. Since you have an '02 I would suggest the SLP lid because it has a provision for the AIR tube that's on your car. If you buy a lid without a provision you'll have to put a breather element on this tube. The SLP lid is good quality and cheaper then the others I believe. I paid $99 for mine.
