Default Asr ?

ok i just noticed this in this weekend on my way to and from memphis. I'll drive for a while and then the light comes on in the switch for the asr. i had never noticed this before. also a couple of days earlier i gave it a little in first and they broke loose asr didn't kick in. looked at the switch and the light was on but there was no "asr off" light on in the dash. Any ideas on what might cause this? thanks

It doesn't kick in all the time in my Camaro, only when it is serious wheel spin so you can break loose a little like you say.

I don't understand what you mean by the "light came on in the switch" though. The light is always on for my switch when my interior lights are on.

That happens for me as well. I meant when the ASR is on for me, as I never really turn it off.

If the ASR is off it should indicate it on the dash regardless what weird **** the button light is doing. If you don't turn it off it should be on when you turn the car on unless you got one of those asr reversile modules.

bombguy clarified it for me. the weird thing is that the amber light in the switch didn't come on until recently. It doesn't really matter the asr still functions i was just a little confused. thanks guys
