any problems w/ aftermarket maf's after dyno tunes??

Default any problems w/ aftermarket maf's after dyno tunes??

I have stayed away from aftermarket maf's because my car still has the stock tune, i have read about so many problems w/ changing the maf on a bolt on car.....


i am gonna get an fm13/fm14 cam installed w/ full dyno tune.... would you guys recommend swapping out the stocker for a maf w/ some more flow potential???

are the check engine lights and detonation associated w/ aftermarket maf's completely solved by a perfect dyno tune??

i have heard nothing but bad things about granatelli maf's, what would you recommend as a good maf for a cam only car?

if you have it dyno tuned, a new maf will not hurt. however the cost doesn't justify how much h.p extra you'll get from it.

If I were going bigger and getting it tuned. ZO6 MAF part# 25341604 $115

Have the tuner put the right tables in and you should be good to go.

Dyno tunes do not tune for a MAF. Dyno tunes are for WOT. Most tuners don't know poopie about part throttle tuning.

I will say this....if the tuner doesn't know how to change for 85mm maf......there is a very good chance he won't touch my car.


I also have HPTuners to take care of that.
