Default HP: TD vs. Catback

I'm going with LT's pacesetters. Is there a big horsepower difference from going with TD versus ORY with Hooker catback?. Or should i ask what would be the gain going from ORY with catback up to true duals

I love the way they both sound but im thinking TD might get to me after while.

Not all that much difference if you are on stock CI or a mild H/C; especially with the Hooker which flows very well.

It is no where near the level of difference from say..shorty headers to long tube headers or cats to !cats.

It felt like I gained some torque in the lower end when I switched from ORY to duals, no numbers to back it up though.

the duals will get you more in the mid range but not that much. A better flowing mid pipe will increase torque but again, not by much. I think people are more into the sound of true duals than how much it makes whe compared to a y-pipe setup.

The hooker also flows good so again, you wont be that far off, just pick wat you like, you can't go wrong.....well, unless you get a loudmouth, like me, and expect for it to sound that same when upgrading to LT'z.....hahahahah!!!

Josh also did a comparo, you can find his in the dyno section, though his was through a cutout and not catback only.

JRP always has the info. Thanks man. That's an interesting comparison. Glad I'm going with duals.
