I hate Magnaflow tips!!! Any ideas??
i love my magnaflow sound but i hate the tips. they look fine on a trans am but not a camaro. im thinking of putting some new tips on there. id like to go with dual tips kinda like the corsa/hooker style tips, though i cant afford the corsa tips right now. i also like the stock black tips...i might go back to that style. anyway, will this change my sound and is this a good idea?

i dotn know if it would change the sound, but i know what you mean about the tips...my girl wants to get a exhaust on her LS1 and i gave her afew options of the ones i think sound good, but told her that the magnaflow tips look like truck tips...see if you could get some GMMG tail pipes and tips...i think they look good but im alil bias

One thing you can try to do is tuck the exhaust up under the bumper better. I've done this but you'll have a hard time keeping it in place with the clamps supplied. I purchased band clamps; and when installed and torqued to spec, they'll hold.
Once I tucked my tips up closer to the bumper cover, they don't look as "obtrusive" anymore.

wht are you talking about those tips look badass! I love how they gradually rise up from thee muffler to their exits. but anyway I imagine you could hook up any 3" pipes you want. It might change the sound but it should be only a bit. the 3.5" chambers do resonate the sound a bit more than the muffler, but not by much. anyway good luck in your search.

I had the magnaflow and know exactly what you are talking about. I ended up going with a hooker catback but I will tell you that changing the tips on my hooker from the ones that come with it to the slp d/d tips did change the tone at idle(quieter) but at wot it was almost the same.
