A/F gauge install....
This seems like a decent help to the O2 wire install.
Think it is worth it??

I wanted something small/cheap to make sure I don't go lean. AutoMeter A/F gauge works for me. Small, easy install. Real basic gauge, decent tuning tool as well.
The gauge....

Connects to the factory O2, and works off that.

That doesnot read wideband and its not that acurate either. Its some stuff you can get to make that gauge show wideband, but im not sure youll want to pay that much. Basicly your just buying a gauge that gives you a pretty light show while your driving.

stangkiller is correct.. its not that accurate and all it does is give a little light show. but I have two A/F ratio meters in my a-pillar and everyone seems to like them. now about that connector, save yourself the 18 plus shipping and just get the signal from a wire near the PCM. It's easy! Just look for the wire bundle near the ECM on the passenger side that goes down to the starter , 02 sensor and some other sensors and look for a purple wire or a purple wire with a white stripe. Attach the A/F meter to the battery and ground and then carefully cut away some of the insullation from the above mentioned wires to see if the A/F meter lights start to move around and you are done. Again, this is not accurate and you will only get a signal from one of the banks. If you want two (2) just do the same for the other bank.

I know this won't be that accurate. Just looking to make sure I don't go lean.
Probably would be cheaper/easier than buying this little extender to just find the wire.....

I don't think it's a mattrer that it's not accurate, it's just reading a signal off your O2. If you data log at all you'll notice that your O2 banks jump all over the place at idle and part throttle, that's all the guage is reading. They can be calibrated for WOT though, just let's you know if your rich/lean which is it's only purpose anyway IMO.
A true wideband setup is obviously the best for getting true reading of your AFR and is a fantastic tool for tuning. This is on my list of "parts I need to get" .
