Kooks or QTP ? How to choose?
Can anyone pick between them ? Are they the same quality ? What are the pros and cons of each ? Im getting one or the other so I would like to make the best choice if I can . They are both about the same price I think. Is there any differences between the two ? Thanks

I forgot to ask . What problems will I have if I get rid of my cats? I was thinking of getting a catted y pipe . What kinda HP am I giving up by keeping cats ? I really dont want to throw any codes that would require an immediate tune as i wont have the money for a tune along with the header install. Im trying to have the least problems after the install. Any ideas ?

I went w/ QTP cuz ive been told they have better quality and assembly vs. Kooks. Same design, jsut go by price QTP has a better Y pipe

I got the QTPs with the high velocity merge collectors, easily and readily available from QTP and potentially the most power making header available for the LS1 F-body.
I vote QTP.

So all I need is o2 sims if I choose to get rid of the cats ? Is there anything else I will need? Also will having no cats make the car way to loud ? I will have it going into a 80 series Flowmaster . Does anyone have a sound clip of Kooks with offroad y pipe into a flowmaster 80 series ?

If you remove an emissions function like AIR or EGR then youll need to get into the computer either by a hand held, computer tuner, or Dyno tune...but the rear 02 snesors can be replaced w/ 02 simulators and have no wories or concerns

You don't need a tune if you can live with the SES light on all the time. The only down side is if you have any other codes thrown (unrelated to rear O2's), then you won't know the difference. That's what I'm doing, but I have Autotap to check peroidically.
Kook's is what I've got on my car, and I am very happy with them. I'll be going with QTP if I ever do my project car, just to try something different. Go with whatever one is cheaper, they are both equal.
