GMMG to Hooker?

GMMG to Hooker?
Since installing my torque converter, my GMMG is quite loud going up through the gears in in-town driving. To me, it was perfect before, but a little over the top now. I'm thinking of replacing it with a quieter catback like Hooker. Any opinions on this? Would I be giving up anything with the Hooker (besides noise)?

You are the first i have EVER heard to complain about GMMG especially w/o LT's!?!?! How is it too much, what exactly is it doing?
Hooker will quiet it down, and it is a chambered muffler, so itll sound fairly similar.

Makes sense. Personally, I would not change it. The only time I would consider it is if I added a nice big lopey cam, or my future 455 and all I got was rasp and drone and even then I would hate to do it. Best sounding Catback on the aftermarket bar-none, hands down.
