went to a local exhaust shop today...
to see if they could extend my duals out the back. I walked up to the counter and asked if they did custom exhaust work, he said yes. I thought, great! So i told him about my exhaust setup and told him wat i wanted to do (chop the bullets, and extend the duals out back with some borla xr-1's ) anyway, his response was "Cant do it" i'm like, wtf. he says its impossible to run duals out the back on an f-body. i just smile and walk out. wtf is with my town? i cant find anyone to do this

Haha....well your first problem is that you're in Palm Harbor.
You got 3 options if you're around there. Reflections in downtown Tarpon Springs, Rainbow Muffler in Clearwater, or there's a guy in Tampa named Kevin I think (I forget but a lot of the RevXtreme guys know him).
ps: I'm from Palm Harbor originally.

I did custom exhaust work for years and I didnt do the true duals either mainly because most customers wouldnt pay the price or didnt realize some of the drawbacks of some of the TD set ups like ground crearance and such. Most shy away from stuff other than the bread and butter exhaust setups because its not worth thier time to do because of the demographic area demand of such work. Like around here most real custom exhaust places mainly do drag cars and street rods alot and that is thier bread and butter in the custom department. I think the guy didnt think it would be worth his time to do. Just a thought.

where is Reflections? I live on alderman and graduated from tarpon so its a short drive
I figured they were just too lazy to do it. i told him i already had duals dumped so all he needed to fab up was the pipes over the axel. he said he had a pipe bender and everything too. RevXtreme is the only sponsor in my area, and i dont think they do custom exhaust.

Look at my post history over the last couple of weeks and you'll find a thread with pictures showing over the axle duals. The pics will help if you find another exhaust shop that doesn't shoot you down too quick because they don't want to take the time.
