Question about the LS6 intake
LS6 intake manifold is it worth the cash
In other words how much HP can I get from an LS6 intake and do you guys recommend it or do you think that there are other mods that are more worth it like the headers or so fourth. I see it on a lot of guys mods just looking for the next mod. Thanks in advance.

My vote would also go to headers.
Just an interesting side note about the intake and how "worth it" it is:
Compare flow numbers on a set of stock LS1 heads through an LS6 intake with a set of stock LS6 heads through LS1 intake. The numbers are essentially identical. I would consider that to be worth it especially considering that you can pick them up pretty cheap now.

I added ported TB, LS6 intake, ditched my RT high-flow cats and JBA shorties for VERY well-ported MAC's and ORY. With this setup, I had dyno'd at 332 RWHP tuned. STOCK CONVERTER UNLOCKED
After these upgrades, I dyno'd with the numbers in my sig. Difference was 28 RWHP tuned. YANK SS3600 UNLOCKED
If both converters had been locked, I believe you could add about 12 RWHP to the difference of numbers (Yank's are pretty efficient) ... giving roughly 40 RWHP.
Personally, I would attribute the ported TB added 5 RWHP ... the ORY over the high-flow cats added 8 ... the MAC's added 15 ... the LS6 intake added 12.
Individually, the way they are advertised and voiced here on this forum, these all should total about 50-55 RWHP, but, the end results just simply don't add up that way ... depends a lot on your setup.
So, all-in-all, (IMHO) you should see anywhere from 12-17 RWHP just with the LS6 intake.
If you're stock headers on a '98 or '99 car, do the headers because the '98/'99 headers don't flow nearly as well as the '00-'02 stockers.
Hope this helps you. BTW, intake is a helluva lot easier and faster to install !!!!
***** NOTE > weather was nearly identical for both dyno's.
