Default NE1 Have serious mileage on Iridium plugs?

It's getting plug change time again, usually about every 20-25K with the NGK TR55s. Seriously considering going to a higher mileage plug if the performance hit isn't there. How 'bout it folks? Anyone had good performance/mileage out of iridiums? Lets hear it........ good or bad.

I have been running NGK Iridiums and have 10K on them. They look great and the car idles fine.

Thanks for the input, guys. It seems I just don't have much time to work on the cars anymore, especially with all the projects the wife finds for me.

Really? That's a little crazy to go from old iridiums to new plugs of any kind and have the car idle worse.

What did you have the NGK's gapped at.

btw, your results are not common.

Well, FWIW, I just replaced the stock platinums at 42k miles, with TR55's, and it's a lot better in terms of idle quality and seat of the pants feel.

My TR55IX plugs were shot @ 13K. I pulled them when I did the headers and the gaps were huge. The car did still run great, just huge gaps after 13K.

13K! Thats pretty wild, considering the miles I've put on NGK coppers before.
Wonder how often people get those results.....

(still haven't done that plug change)
