Default Tried a Search: 1 7/8" LT ?s

I tried a search but couldn't come up with anything. When I get my car (98+ TA) I'm planning on just bolt-ons for a while until I can afford a forged setup with a turbo or supercharger. Anyway, will I suffer any performance decreases with a 1 7/8" LT header on a bolt-on car? And most important, how hard are they to install compared to a normal 1 3/4" LT header? Any clearance issues that aren't there with the 1 3/4" LTs? Thanks.

you can check the dyno forum for verbs thread (last page) for some 1 3/4th vs 1 7/8th headers. i'd stick with some 1 3/4 kooks or qtp's with the HMVC.

Since you are going to go that route in the future, I'd get the 1 7/8 headers and be done with that part now.. You're not going to notice a huge difference.. You can find great deals on them used.. The differences in 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8 exhaust totally depends on other things like Cam and heads etc..
