QTP y-pipe????
Hey all,
I have a full QTP exhuast and Corsa cat-back, and I have having ground clearence issures and squeeking problems. I was just wondering if any of you guys could post up pics of your qtp y-pipe, just so I can see how it compares to mine.....The passanger side is fine, its the drivers side im having problems with...so if you guys could post up some pics for me of you setup that would be great!!!
Thanks

The driver side on mine hangs low. We had to cut and fit it so it was not to bad. I think that the angle coming out of the collector is wrong. They nned to have adjustment on that side to.
Good luck

i had same problem. took it to an exhaust shop and had to cut the y and adjust to make it fit right, but the ground clearance still isnt that great. i also had a squeeking sound after install but it was the heat shield on the gas tank rubbing on a hanger.

I had a similar question a few weeks back. Here is the link to the pictures that I posted and the responses I received.

anyone got pics of it on the ground?
I've seen it once under a 2002 SS LE, lowered on eibach Pro-kit, or mayb it was Ground Control-it was a 1.5-1.75" drop
Coated QTP LT's, Catted Y and GMMG-The drivers side cat jsut about touched the blades of grass it was on, slightly higher, it tucked up fairly well tho, his SFC's seemed a little lower

I have the dual cut-outs and mine is the same way.
The pipe that plugs into the Y on the driver side won't clamp down. I have the clamp as tight as it will go and it is still loose.

You need to get that second part back from the header twisted up more. I have the catted y and got mine to fit good, It did take a bit of tweaking. I put the left pipe rear of the header in a press and ovaled it some. My cat is about 1/4 from the body. I have no banging issues as I put a hanger on the left right there to keep it from hitting. Similar to the one that Thunder Racing sells.

Also I had noise issues until I hooked up a hanger on the right side. Play with it and you can get the factory hanger bent around to work on the right side.
I have 4" of clearance under mine now. I am lowered 1". Factory clearance to the y-pipe is 5 1/4" so I figure this only cost me 1/4"
Good Luck

When bending that pipe is there anyway I can do that at home or will an exhaust shop have to do it??? I just want a fast easy way to do it...Im tired of exhuast leaks and squeeking!!! I paid to much for my exhaust to do this!!!!!!!!!!!
