Default Which Kooks For Me?

All my research points to 1 3/4, just wanted to confirm. Here is the setup:

TEA S1.5 5.3L TEA heads 2.02/1.55 milled 0.010 heads w/ a 228/230/571/573 112 comp cam; Full boltons, FAST 90/NW TB--the car will never see FI or nitrous in this form. If it did, it would be w/ a different engine. Thanks!

This should help. https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/296165-1-3-4-vs-1-7-8-header-dyno-results.html
It seems like the 1 7/8" LTs are only better with the use of a power adder. I guess with N/A they are too large.

That is almost exactly the setup I am going to get when I get the money. I went with 1 3/4 QTP's (same design). I haven't seen anything AT ALL showing me that 1 7/8 is worth is on a N/A stock displacement engine.

Thanks guys. Now if I can figure out which Y pipe I need to go to my SLP D/D, and if I need clamps and stuff, I'll be in business!

I went with the 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 stepped. I will eventually be going with a power adder, just not sure which one. So i'm just trying to plan ahead

They offer these y pipes--I need one to mate up to my SLP DD

6502 3" Y-Pipe (From Kooks Header to Stock Y-Pipe)
6502M 3" Y-Pipe w/Magnoflo Cats
6502CUS 3 1/2" Inlets Y-Pipe ( 3 1/2" or 4" Outlets)
6502-1CUS 3" Inlets Y-Pipe to 4"
6502-2CUS 3 1/2" Inlets Y-Pipe to Stock Outlet

Do I need clamps also>

Thanks!
