Default Header Question

Ok, thinkin of gettin the Pacesetter Long Tubes with the Off Road Y-Pipe.....will this weld directly into my remaining stock exhaust, untill I get a cat-back system??? Will I run into any problems not having cats? Codes?

I'd clamp it onto your stock exhaust if possible. Why not get a full catback at the same time? If you have emissions in your county, you won't pass them w/o cats.

So it will clamp to the stk exhaust? I have no emissions testing or anything like that. I figured Id do one thing at a time, should I do the cat-back first or the headers and pipe?

You could pick up a loudmouth catback for about $250. If it was me, I'd get a GMMG catback first, and wait for the headers/ory. That's what I did(only got Borla instead of GMMG).

the GMMG is great, but I went with Hooker catback. about half the price. I just put my headers on last night, and i wished that i would of put the headers on first, because it was a pain in the *** connecting the y-pipe and the catback. You will throw codes because you won't have the o2's hooked up. the code doesn't take timong out or anything just a light on the dash. if there is someone around that does tuning around you most of them can delete this code so that you don't have the light on. by the way my car sounds badass to me, long tubes were the best mod so far.

o2 sims would take care of it, but if you go and get a tune somewhere, they will usually do it for free. I occasionally go to purdue to see some friends.

I have Pacestters with the ORYP and a cut-put in the i-pipe and I'm still running my stock exhaust from the cut-out...it's just the stock muffler tips.

it may not bolt right up, but you can cut and clamp it to make it fit probably
