I think the SLP Dual Dual muffler is quite good, and not very loud.

10 people are going to reply and give you 10 different opinions. Usually the muffler they are running at the moment is the response you will get. This question has been asked a million times and never get's answered because there is no real answer. Everybody has there own idea of what's loud and what's not. Not trying to be an ***, but do a search and you'll see. Here's a link that list specs on sound and flow #'s for some mufflers that might be more helpful than someone elses opinion:

try to listen to other people's exhaust and make a decision yourself, and not because someone said this or that. thats what I did and I like my set up, but everyones different.

SLP Dual Dual is the quietest. I have LT's, catted ypipe and the dual/dual. Sounds the same as when I didn't have LT's until I get on it.

That's what I like about SLP DD, I can be quiet through the DD then go to loud through the cutout.

Borla is the quietest system I've heard so far. Even at WOT it's not that loud.

With manifolds, the Hooker is not any louder than stock at idle, it just sounds better. At WOT it's definitely louder, especially from outside/behind the car from what people tell me. I've only heard the Dual/Dual on an LT1 car, but it was fairly quiet.

Dual/Dual is quieter then the Hooker. I should know, i took off my Dual Dual for a Hooker. Dual Dual is a stainless steal system and higher dollar.

Get 3" ipipe from Summit with the biggest magnaflow or ultraflo muffler and it wont be too loud.
