I just bought my first fbody, 2002 black Z28, and am interested in improving its performance so i have been reading the forums. One mod that keeps getting mentioned is "lid" I have yet to come across an explaination as to what that is, please let me know. Thanks alot.

swang, wait to get a tune, because when you add more stuff you'll have to get it retuned to get the max of your latest mods. just my .02

Yea, you can probably get a lid, full exhaust(LT's/ory), and some nice tires first. You can get away without a tune until you get a cam.

A lid REALLY helps. I had to put back the stock airbox in for some warranty work....MAN did it really kill the power. The engine felt like it was choking on something.
