LID OR K&N SYSTEM? IS THERE ANY PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCE ON A LID FROM A K&N AIR SYSTEM? i KNOW THE K&N SYSTEM IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN LIDS. JUST LOOKING FOR DIFFERENCES BEFORE I PURCHASE IT 4 MY 2001 SS. THANX!

this subject is just like commenting about LT headers. THey all make about the same amount of HP/TQ, but some buy stainless and others buy regular steel. The same goes for lids and K&N's FIPK. What I like about the K&N FIPK is that it completely changes the appearance of the engine bay and that the filter element is nicely trimmed in real carbon fiber. Just buy whatever you like best. Here are some pics to help you decide.
