Default Flowmaster 1-chambers or Sweet Thunders

I've been searching all morning and seen a lot of opinions on both. Anyone know firsthand the difference........interior volume, exterior volume, any DRONE. I hate DRONE and do want to put up with even the smallest amount. Also, I have a guy that makes great X and H-pipes. Which would you personally reccomend for this 2.5" system? I'm going for a head-turning, deep, muscle sound that isn't horribly loud with absolutley no drone! This will be on Pacesetter LT's, no cats.

The X will flow better than the H, and I saw a test where an X is slightly quieter than an H on the same setup. Both will give the head turning sound though. Also, the Sweet Thunders and the 1 chambers are some of the louder choices of mufflers for true duals. The quietest muffler that's small and tucks up nice is the Flo Pro Twister.

Which is closest in volume to a cutout? I don't want super loud, but I want it to be heard. I want people to think, "I've never heard a car sound so good." I can get Flo-Pro Twisters any day of the week. My exhaust guy carries them. Are they deep enough sounding though?

sweet thunder...i have had many of the "i've never heard a car like that before" comments...or omg that sounds sick!!!...it imo is the best exhaust ever created...i have the tsp x crossover with 18" sweet thunders welded in place of the bullets...and the mods in the sig...

had a buddy of mine say he thought it was an 03 cobra with headers and exhaust but he didn't hear the whine...

Oh don't get me wrong. My car is louder than than any Mustang running around here with regular 40 series Flowmasters. I've had plenty of comments from them, and stuff like, "when are you gonna get mufflers for that thing" and "man that thing sounds wicked". The sound is very deep around town and at WOT it screams. Stick with the Twisters. They're just as loud on the outside as Bullets and Sweet Thunders but don't drone as much. That was my biggest concern. It does drone some from 1700-2000, but certainly tolerable.

from what it sounds they drone about the same as the flo-pro...i get a little drone at about 1700-1900 rpms...it's nothing you can't drive around...if you are in the throttle close to halfway it won't drone at all...its slow throttle at like 1700 rpms that you get the drone/rasp sound...but it's NOTHING like the ory, cat-back, headered cars...they are terrible compared to mine

Well, I just ordered the Sweet Thunders. I've had the Twisters on stock manifolds with cats, but I don't want to have regrets. I've always said I would get the Sweet Thunder's. When it came down to the wire, I of course had my doubts. I want the best sound. Period. No compromises. But then again, this is a very subjective topic. Whose to say that the guy with the 1-chambers doesn't sound as good as the guy running Twisters? It's all personal taste. After hours of listening to the same clips over and over again on LS1sounds, I am sticking with my gut feeling and doing the chambered route. I'll post my thoughts when it is all done. Thanks a bunch for all the info guys.

How well do the sweet thunders or Flowmaster single chambers flow compared to my bullets? the drone from my bullets from 1500-2000 are killing me. but i do not want to sacrafice any performance.

Thanks

Kyle
