i was getting on the interstate today and got down on it WOT. it was pinging and i could smell the carbon, i guess that was the smell. Also my car was blowing out a dark grey, light black smoke when i was WOT. what are some things i can do to cure this problem? its annoying to hear the noise when i romp down on it. am i losing any hp? i know it cant be the gas b/c i only use Amoco 93 or Shell 93 octane. TIA guys!!

i wouldnt stomp on it till you get it corrected, it dont sound good at all

how do i correct it? i mean this isnt a thing that just started. it has been like this, just tired of hearing it. i reeallly dont think its detrimental to my car but of course i want it to be running at its best.

Be carefully, had a bud that blew a spring which entails hole in block.
