Default Need to be quieter...

I have true duals with the mods in sig. 3" Sweet Thunders dumped at the axle is quite loud while at idle/cruising/WOT. They drone on the highway but offer good clearance. I am looking for good clearance and less drone around 2-3k. Did some searching, looking for info from anyone who has experienced anything that would fit my needs. Saw the Pro-Flows and Spiral Flows are usually a quieter option. I miss the sound of my Flowmasters, but don't miss the clearance issues...

I don't have any experience with these, but you may consider trying a set of those silencer cones from Dynatech. I know Jegs sells them, and I'm sure Summit does too. I'd do that before switching mufflers, but if you insist, the Flo Pro Twisters would be your best bet.

I think you want the exhaust exit out from under the
floor pan.

They dump after the rear seats. I have to look harder and see if I can get the pipes over the axles.

Yup. That is the definition of "Right". After inhaling exhaust fumes from a buddies dumped system for 10 minutes I called it quits.

A bit too much 'redneck cheap I can't afford a real exhaust' experiement to me, but you have to see it to believe it, words just don't cut it.
