Default odd smell under load

my car has been doing this for a while, pretty much since last october or so. i thought for certain it was the clutch, but now that the new clutch/hydraulics/fluid is installed, i'm certain it's not the clutch. personally, i couldn't even venture to guess what this smell is. it only is noticeable when i hit 4500+ rpms. i've smelled many-a burn smells before, but this one is beyond me.

a rear tire of mine has been eaten beyond the normal rubber tread and into the white part of the tire. perhaps the smell is of that portion of the tire burning once it starts spinning? i don't know, really, but it is the WORST smell i've ever smelled from a car. i had to eventually stop WOT my car just to keep the smell away. guesses?

shitting your pants as the car gets going?

no j/k I would venture to say the cats could be your solution also. They do smell pretty atrocious when they go.

As stated, probably the cats. When I had my car dynoed while stock it engulfed that side of the building with a nasty rotten ***/egg smell. just take a hacksaw to them and that will solve it

Yes, you just replace the cats themselves. If your car was stock, they would probably still be under warantee, but as is, you're probably going to have to order some. I know a lot of guys like the Carsound cats. Supposedly they flow great, and are pretty cheap. GL to you.

i have dynatech cats and im getting a funky smell from the passenger side. The carpetin htat spot is also semi burn't. I cant figure if it is the carpet or the cat.

Car is over heating kinda bad....nd the smell, obviously, gets worse with the temp increase...

any ideas?
