Default Throttle Body Issues

This last week I put on a ported and polished intake. Ever since I've noticed a power loss. When I get on it at about 4500rpms it's almost like it is starving out. I thought maybe I should have put in a new gasket instead of using the old one and its sucking air from there? Any better ideas?

Thanks,
Nathan

Check the TPS, TPS position is one enable term for
power enrichment. A vacuum leak is going to be more
of a low end problem than at WOT.

Also check that your cables are adjusted for snug
but not binding. And that you don't have any other
things keeping the throttle from opening fully by
the pedal.

You could maybe clean it if it's really dirty, but I'd rather spend the $30 at Autozone for a new one.
