some companys sell block off plates for the long tube headers, and Im sure that they will fit the stock manifolds. I dont know of any off the top of my head so you might have to search the sponsors for those plates

ok maybe i wasnt clear lol

the EGR and AIR have been off the car for about 2 years now, i have emission headers with the tubes for egr and air welded on, i have block off plates on there right now. i want to take these headers and turn them into race style headers to give me more room to get at thigns. i want to cut the tubes off that are on the headers and put something there to keep me from getting an exhaust leak until i can get it welded

I'd wait until you are ready to weld and have whoever is doing the welding cut and weld all at once. Shouldn't cost much at all. Don't know of a good alternative to block that area off once you cut the emissions provisions off.

I just welded up my flp's. someone misled my on a sales ad, so I cut the bung off, with a little nub showing. Then I plug welded the tubes shut & ground them smooth. I also painted them, that did'nt work very well. They look a hole lot better though.
