Do you have the single circular tips or the dual slash cut tips?

I believe that the dual slash cut tips come with the SLP dual/dual.

Just get the Hooker Cat-back and you won't have to worry about it. Don't want to spend that much? Just installed it in mine a couple days ago, much better than the stock. Still won't be loud enough till i get the LT's and Y pipe.

Yeah i figured money would be your issue, since you were just going with the muffler, I feel ya man! lol

Diameter on your pipes will probably be 2.75" or smaller i would think. My car had the lower air restriction exhaust and only had the 2.75" piping. Grab a tape measure and crawl under there.

well..you bring me to antoher question..when they measure exhaust piping..they measure the inside diameter..right? or do they actually measure the outside?..cause if its the outside..i'll go measure it not and order my muffler

The actual piping should be measured on the outside, I think, someone else should be able to give you an absolute answer. Should be easy to tell once you measure it. For example my tailpipes are 2.5", measuring the outside.

around $70 will get you the Hooker replacement muffler like I have. Measurements can be either inside ID or Outside OD. I do not remeber the part number but Hooker has a muffler for our cars. You will need like a 6" extension to make the driver side tail pipe come out in the same place though. I got mine at OReilly's.

I think your I-pipe is 2.75". Take it from me and just do it right the first time, and just buy the whole catback. You can get the hooker catback for $289. There is a difference in sound and performance between just the muffler and the whole catback. I just went from a magnaflow muffler to a catback setup, and there is a difference. Eventually you will probably want the catback, and converting to that later will end up costing you more in the long run.

If you want louder than stock and don't want a full catback, you probably don't want the magnaflow or hooker. They're both probably the quitest you could buy, and barely louder than stock. I was very dissapointed with the magnaflow muffler by itself, and I understand the hooker is even more quiet.
