TB not opening all the way...
have a Jantzer TB on my car and had been wondering why it never really ran any harder after the LTs went on.
Tonight I got the itch to try out EFILive V7 and went out and noticed when I press the pedal to the floor in the car the TPS only is showing 80%!
So I swung the laptop around into the engine bay and pulled the lid and bellows off of the TB. I brought the TB by hand out to where it was indicated 80% like before and was shocked to see the TB blade not even close to being open!
Is it just me or is going 80% throttle going to effect performance significantly?
When I turn the TB by hand until it hits the bumpstop it goes straight open and EFILive indicates 100% TPS.
The stock TB would go 100% but this one won't? What could be causing this?
I pulled the cover off of the TCS assembly next to the evaporator and it appears as though when you floor it inside the car the TCS assembly is hitting its own WOT bump stop of some sorts and not allowing the cable to the TB to pull the TB wide open.
Any ideas?

Oops, reread your post again. Disregard the bump stop comments. Sounds like that is not your problem. I will have to default to some other guys for the answer because my car does not have traction control.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah the bumptop was done on the TB when it was ported. The problem is I can't get to that bumpstop.

make sure you're not getting any TPS codes. take the TPS sensor off and put it back on, then check for slack in the throttle line. then go out and do some WOT runs. check what EFIL says then.
i sure hope you don't have your floor met shoved all the way under the throttle....that'd be not smart.

No TPS codes have been set.....I believe this to be a mechanical issue since when the TPS shows 80%...I can look at the TB with the bellows and Lid off and see it is obviously not open all the way......but can turn the TB by hand from under the hood and the reading goes to 100%.
How can I check for slack in the line?
I pulled the cover off of the TCS and can hear the TCS module "hitting" a stop of some sorts by pressing the accelerator down....I can also twist the TCS by hand and it hits some sort of stop and I can then look at the TB to see it is open to the 80% like the TCS unit isn't allowing the cable to pull the TB open enough.

There is an adjustment in the middle of the line, with a plastic cover on it. Unsnap the cover & the cable will be loose. Pull all the slack out just untill it just about opens, then snap the cover back on. It'll lock the cable in place. You might want to reset the TPS by unplging it, then plug it back in.

Thanks alot guys......all fixed up!
I ended up having to adjust both cables but it now goes 100% and pulls a LOT harder! The off throttle response is also vastly improved with the slack gone.
Thanks again.
