Some TPiS Throttle Body install help...
Hey all,
I installed the TPiS Oval TB and converted LS6 intake last night. Ive done 30-40 intake swaps, so Im pretty sure I got the intake all lined up.
When the car starts, the RPMs are exceptionally high, and they only settle down to a reasonable idle very slowly. Then, just a light touch to the throttle or TB and the thing start turning 2500 rpm by itself. Keeping it at an idle is getting pretty difficult.
I had to quit for the night because the 2500 rpm fun was getting too loud for the time of evening in the neighborhood.
I'll take a scanner home with me today to help work out whats up... but has anyone else had this kind of issue when installing a totally different TB/Intake combo?
Thanks,
Chris

i had an issue similar to that with my stock one...i disconnected the battery then reconnected it after a minute or so...(i also had someone crank the car and i held the throttle body shut, however i don't think that did anything, i think it was just the fact that i reset the computer) you can try it and see if it works

well, Im still pretty sure somethign is goofed up. I don't *think* theres a vacuum leak, since it can idle at a normal speed when it WANTS to. It just seems to have some strange ideas about waht to do when the throttle is even touched. I wonder if the TP sensor needs to be worked around a little.
