hesitation at higher loads, lower rpms My car has been doing this for awhile, and it's gotten somewhat worse since I bought it. If I'm in 4th at, say, 45 or 50mph, and I give it about 1/2 throttle to pass someone, the car will respond but hesitates a little for a second or 2 then picks up. It does not seem to do this if I were in 2nd or 3rd gear at those speeds, only at lower rpms and higher loads. I put a new TPS on a month ago, and the problem went away, but now it's coming back. Is this just an excuse to get a ported TB or is there something that's causing the TPS to get dirty and not function well?
