NGK TR55s. Easy install, get all from up top except for #8.

I wish I could remember my install, I did mine about a year ago when I did my headers. I dont recall having to do the #8 plug from the bottom?

Check out Jerami's FAQ in the New LS1 owners forum, has a complete step by step guide.

Yeah, for #8 i had to crawl under the car and reach up past the header collector.

it's really not all that bad though

If you changed the plugs when you had the manifolds/headers off the car you could probably reach the number 8 plug from the top. Once the headers are on, though it is MUCH easier to just jack the car and go from the bottom. I just changed my plugs last weekend.

I did plugs on my Formula a few weeks ago and followed the steps from install university. Once I got the AIR tubes off and the coil pack moved out of the way the install wasn't that bad. Number 8 is a pain, but I got it from the top fine (just have to use a 1" swivel).

You should not use TR6's on a mostly stock car. They perform in a colder heat range, making them optimal for use with nitrous. The TR55's are going to give you best performance and make more sense to go with.

Where Do You Gap Them At? Or Do You Just Leave Them Alone? And What About Wires, Is It Dumb To Put 8.5mm Msd On A Moslty Stock Car?

I just did TR55's last week, I gapped them at .050 I think. Stock is .060 IFRC. With that being said, I consisitently hit 108 in the 1/4. up from 105 - 106, and all I did were the plugs.

It's a pain in the *** job but just get'er done!

Most people gap at .045-.050. I just got some TR55's and gapped them somewhere in that range. Plugs will definitely help you a bit with idle if it's been a while since you changed them. No need to upgrade the wires unless you are having problems with teh stockers. I myself was so I picked up a set of MSD's. It's hard to really say if they help anything but they sure don't hurt and are more cost effective than getting a set of stock wires from the dealer.

If you have changed LT1 plugs, then doing the ls1 will seem easy. Just make sure you have all the right tools. I found it handy to have a long ratchet and also a short swivel ratchet. I also used both a 1'' and 3" extension with a swivel. Some like doing #8 from the top and others like to do it from below. I would jack the car up so you can try both and see what works for you. My first time took a few hours with some breaks here and there. I'm sure it would be alot faster next time. Good luck.

8 is easy form underside, no need to remove coil, just remove emissions hookup on header and its simple.
