Get the whole kit with belts and the new bolt so you don't have to chase parts. As far as the alternator underdrive, the alternator will not have the same output at idle. M6s usually aren't bad since the idle is slightly higher but on A4s your voltmeter will drop into the red alitte and your lights will dim alittle since your system is relying on the battery. I've run both underdrive pullies for a few years and my battery has been fine even with the slight charging issue. You don't really need an alt. overdrive pulley unless your running a huge stereo system or something like that. You should be able to get the whole kit with just the crank pulley so you can reuse your stock alt. pulley.

I would stay away from the alt underdrive. If you have a raised idle after a cam swap it might be okay though. Mine is crank only, just to be safe, even though my idle is at about 1k.

Yeah, just get the underdrive pulley and not the alternator one.

why not just buy a sfi approved ati super damper?you gat an extra 900$ or so lying around dont you?
i would reccomend just running the underdrive pully by itself, if you really want to save $ find a used one on here, and buy the belt at autozone...
