Default lid change..

I have the FIPK but I am bored of it and want the regular LID.

Anyone know of a cheaper but good flowing lid?

I know. I do know this.. just looking for a nice LOOKING lid but one that doesnt flow like ****.

The FIPK flows great but it is time to change. Getting tired of looking at a filter everytime I open my hood up.

Plus she doesnt catch all the dirt.

Aaaaaaand... i want to throw a nice dry shot on and would like to plug it into the lid. I have the wet shot now but I might be selling wet and going with a CHEAP dry shot.

My wet system costed me ALLLLOT of money and I am selling it on the cheap incase of anyone wanting it. lol Shameless plug

I like the look of the SLP, expecially if it's painted. Not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive either.

See, a lid is a lid is a lid means there isn't a lid that flows like ****. Buy one based on looks and you'll be fine. That's the point of the "lid is a lid" statement.

All lids flow the same GMHTP magazine did an article on lids. I like the SLP lid best for looks, fit & finish.

Might as well consider all of them equal as far as flow goes. Base your decision on looks alone. I like the looks of the SLP lid and that's why I chose it. But to each his own.

Ok guys thank you.

Do you know if you can fill in the SLP since I CANT STAND SLP RIGHT NOW AND WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER PROMOTE THEIR BUSINESS ON MY CAR.

But if it is the best fitting lid out there, I wont cut my nose off to spite my face neither.

When I first got my car I took the stock one and bent out all the fins and sanded it smooth, thats well until I got my SLP lid.

Good choice on choosing something else than SLP man. And it's true tho, a lid is a lid but if u ask me i prefer the look of the SLP lid... But now i could give 2 ***** less becuz there Air Induction Package is on back order that i just ordered a week ago and still havent got it... Im not to fond of that name now lol. I think i'll order from some1 else now...

nitrous looks cool when it is sprayed?

What the hell are u doing under the hood on a nitrous pass. lol.

Unless you are shooting on the dyno.. you really have no business under the hood on a wot run with juice lol

Thank you EVERYONE for pitching in here on the advice.

As for the SLP being on backorder.. *** THEM, *** THEM IN THE EAR, *** THEM IN THE **** AS WELL.

Son of a Bitch *** ho' slp is

I'm sure it was on the dyno.

lol i know. I was just being a little **** is all.

As for the nitrous spray. I seen it.. Kinda cool.. fog into the air lid. Just wasnt cool enough for me to buy. And right now I have the wet kit MAF Plate system so it wouldnt be good for me right now.

I had bad images of cleaning the clear lid and seeing streaks lol

i cant clean a mirror to save my life. Thats why I got married
