Default EVAP System Removal

I was wondering if it could be removed on my race car? I still use the stock fuel system, but I do not care about any check engine lights, etc.. My rails and lines are stock, I have a T-Rex and a Intank Pump, and 30lb Injectors. Its a pain in the *** to have there with my direct port. Is it really needed?

your going to need to fid a way to collect or vent the gas vapors without making you sick. The gas smell will be pretty severe.

Just get rid of it. Mine has been off for awhile with no side effects. I had the ses edited out. It also makes the engine bay look alot cleaner.

On my 2001, there is a steel line that runs from the driver's side engine bay all the way to the fuel tank...it parallels the fuel supply line. There is the purge solenoid that sits on the intake. Last, there are the rubber-wrapped plastic lines from the steel line to the solenoid (with the schrader valve) and from the solenoid to the intake. If you don't want to remove the steel line, you could just cap it and also cap the inlet on the neck of the intake. On a side note, I've heard of folks using a vented gas cap to help with fumes when deleting the EVAP system...

Olden times, they just had a draft tube up in the
axle arch and that was good enough.... maybe a
breather to keep the mud-daubers out would be
smart.
